Risk Factors

A Risk Factor is anything that may increase a person's chance of developing a disease - like an activity or lack of, smoking, diet, Virus, family history, toxin, or many other things.

A Primary Risk Factor is something that poses the greatest threat to your health. During cancer recovery, these primary risk factors come into extreme focus. It is very important for you and your Doctor to be aware of ALL the factors involved in cancer including the risks, warnings, and latest alerts. Don't let your Doctor off the hook if they don't know them all - this is a must!

A Contraindication is a conflict interaction between a compound, element or drug - and a disease. Your pharmacist and doctors have access to large knowledge bases of individual drug contraindications represented by Disease Identifiers.
